The recruitment process from application will be made up of a couple of different sections, including an interview, coding exercise and whiteboarding. More information on this will be available closer to the time.

This is our shortlisting event post application, where we will invite applicable candidates to come along to our office in Belfast and hub in Galway to get the immersive experience of working at Liberty IT.

Within the session, we will have opportunities to connect with our engineers and leaders in a ‘get to know us session’ and then take part in a coding exercise – this is a chance to highlight your technical abilities and problem-solving skills.

These sessions are primarily in-person however, we will provide a hybrid option for those who require accessibility adjustments. We will have assessors and buddies from Liberty IT so that you can collaborate on your analytical thinking.

We understand that a coding challenge may seem a little bit daunting, but it's genuinely nothing to worry about – this is just a chance to engage with us, and we are excited to welcome you all!   

The process timelines are available on the job details. We will keep you informed during the process and aim to give you feedback as soon as possible. 

We work 37.5-hour weeks and have core hours of 10 am to 4 pm. Please note that you may be required to work outside of these hours occasionally to meet business demands.

Yes, you can apply as long as your visa allows you to work legally in UK and/or the Republic of Ireland. If you are applying from overseas, please note that if you are offered a role, you do need to be based in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

Our intern software engineer positions are distributed among our partner universities and third-level educational institutions, so unfortunately, they are not open to students from other universities. You can apply for our Associate Software Engineer graduate positions if you are studying internationally, but please note the requirements in the question above.
