We kicked off the year in January with a transformative day led by Google Cloud, focusing on AI literacy. Employees participated in keynotes and hands-on labs that equipped them with practical skills in machine learning and data modeling.

Our participation in industry conferences, including NIDC and AWS Days, has further enriched our team's knowledge and network. These events allowed our professionals to exchange ideas with industry leaders and peers, enhancing our culture of collaboration.
Inaugural TechCon: A Celebration of Learning and Connection
One of the highlights of our year was the inaugural ‘TechCon’ event, an immersive technology learning conference that brought together 600 employees from our Belfast, Dublin, and Galway sites.
This event was attended by our Executive Leadership Team from Liberty Mutual Insurance, including Chief Information Officer Monica Caldas, who delivered an inspiring keynote address.
Participants enjoyed a day filled with insightful talks and panel discussions led by thought leaders from across the company, covering essential topics like GenAI, Engineering Excellence, Product Thinking, and Employee Experience.
Attendees also engaged with exhibition booths showcasing cutting-edge technology solutions, as well as expert-led sessions from representatives of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Gartner.
Celebrating Creative Problem Solving at the Ignite Hackathon
The tenth anniversary of the Liberty Mutual Ignite Hackathon showcased our commitment to innovation through teamwork and creativity. With 16 teams participating in-person and remotely, the hackathon sparked new ideas and solutions that could redefine our services.
Notably, the People's Choice Award winner, the Veery Innovative Team, demonstrated the power of harnessing unique datasets for enhanced data modeling.
Fostering Collaboration and Relationships through the Data Science Challenge
This year's Data Science Challenge brought together over 180 participants across 98 teams, emphasizing collaboration and camaraderie. Participants not only showcased their data analysis skills but also worked together to solve complex challenges.
The challenge reinforced our commitment to building a supportive environment where creativity flourishes and professional relationships strengthen.
